Re-launch - now blogrelief is better than ever by Marc Allington

September, 2009 has seen a new re-launch of BlogRelief.com allowing bloggers to write an article about their blog to increase their readership.  After all, bloggers want as many visitors as possible to read their content.  In exchange for allowing bloggers to advertise their blog, BlogRelief.com encourages a small donation to one of our chosen charities.  To make it transparent and show that all money is given to charty, we are using JustGiving.com...

We encourage all our members (and even our visitors) to donate a little money to our chosen charities.  So if you find BlogRelief.com useful, then please donate to one of our charities below.

Step 2 - Make A Money Donation

Step 2 is to donate a little money to charity via one of our JustGiving pages.  We are currently supporting:

To be as transparent as possible, we use JustGiving.com to collect your donation.  That way, you know that your money really is going to charity.

We are asking that you donate what you can, rather than for a fixed amount.  So please dontate what you can afford, and in return we will send as many new visitors to your blog as we can.

Write an article about your blog to attract new visitors.Step 3 - Write An Article About Your Blog

Your article must tell us important information about your blog.  We review and approve every article to make sure that it conforms to our guidelines.  We do this to ensure quality of content.  You will also be given access to our support information to help you write the perfect article about your blog to attract as many visitors as possible.

Once your article is approved, it will be available to our visitors.  If they like it enough, then they will visit your website and hopefully subscribe to your blog feeds.

If your article is rejected, then we will send you a message so you can correct and resubmit.

Registering is free and very easy.  All you are required to do is enter your name, email address, username, displayname, and blog url.  Your blog can be part of your existing website, hosted on a blogging website such as wordpress or be a blog website in its own right.

We do not share your information with anyone else.  Your information is only used so we can administrate blogrelief.com and support it's features.

Our goal is to promote your blog to our visitors and at the same time raise money for charity. BlogRelief.com is a not-for-profit website and we use JustGiving.com to collect donations so you know the money actually does go to the charity 100%.  BlogRelief.com is not affiliated to JustGiving.com in any way.

Dear Visitor,

BlogRelief.com is looking a little empty right now!  Why?  Well because I have just released Version 2.0 (September 2009) and the features between Version 1.0 and Version 2.0 were not backwards compatible.  So I am now looking for some brave new bloggers to try out BlogRelief - the first 100 members will be rewarded with a mention on our "First Customers" wall as well as some other features that will be announced very soon.

Why such drastic changes?  Well mainly because developing a website like this is part trial and error.  Whilst I was happy with the first Version, I felt that it was a little OTT because it aggregated every post from our members blogs.

After thinking about this for a while, I realised that the site had lost its prime focus which is to generate new readers for our members blog and at the same time to raise money for charity.

We now let our members write an article about their blog.  The more interesting the article, the more visitors it will attract from BlogRelief.com and other websites that display our RSS feeds.  All we ask is that our members donate a little money to one of our chosen charities, which we collect using JustGiving.com

So, yes we are a little short of content at the moment, but we are busy doing all sorts of marketing on the website to try and get lots of new members who want to advertise their blogs and give a little to charity!

We still have the same categories, and we now have even better (ethical) search engine optimisation features, so we will attract attention from the search engines as well as visitors from our more manual marketing activities.

So thank you for visiting BlogRelief.com.  If you have a blog then please register and write an article so we can start sending you new visitors.

Kind Regards,

Marc Allington
